Manufacturing Month: Leading Northern Ireland’s Industrial Charge
AMIC was a proud sponsor of Manufacturing Month NI, a celebration of innovation that included our key event, the Anchor High Leadership Summit. Through panels, presentations, and masterclasses, we highlighted the centre’s role in shaping the regional manufacturing ecosystem and fostering connected dialogue across industry, academia, and government.
Emma McKenna (Head of Sustainable Manufacturing) and Conor Quinn (Business Development Manager) represented AMIC at this high-profile summit, where Emma joined a panel on sustainability, exploring how advanced manufacturing can support the reduction of scope 3 emissions through innovation and data. Conor brought a fresh perspective on the human-centric design of Industry 5.0, reinforcing the importance of inclusive, forward-thinking approaches in shaping the next industrial revolution.

Emma McKenna wins Green Impact Award and Dr Lauren McGarry named runner-up in the ‘One to Watch in the Future’ category at the 2025 NI Women in Tech Awards.
Accelerating Energy Innovation at All-Energy 2025
AMIC joined Invest NI and leading organisations at All-Energy in Glasgow to showcase Northern Ireland’s strengths in the energy sector. We highlighted our role in driving low-carbon innovation and contributing to the global net zero transition.
Inspiring the Next Generation Through the International Fund For Ireland Schools Project
Students showcased 3D-printed prototypes at AMIC’s Skills event, guided by our expert team—a proud moment highlighting future talent and hands-on innovation in action.

AMIC joined Ionic Technologies’ CLIMATES close-out event, exploring innovations in rare earth recovery. Caroline represented AMIC in key discussions on sustainability and circular manufacturing.

AMIC joined Invest NI’s hydrogen roundtable to explore cross-sector opportunities in clean energy. We’re helping shape Northern Ireland’s growing hydrogen economy through collaboration and innovation.
📣 Community Highlights
Running for a Cause: AMIC Team Conquers Belfast City Marathon Relay for NI Hospice.
On Sunday, 4th May, ten AMIC members – Billy Culleton, Shane Rainey, Jenny McAuley, Caroline McClory, Glenn Rutherford, Conor Quinn, Colin Hollywood, Emma McKenna, Lauren McGarry and Catherine Clydesdale – completed the Belfast City Marathon relay while raising an impressive £820 for AMIC’s chosen charity, NI Hospice.
